I got my first Kodak Instamatic camera when I was around ten and have always loved looking at life through a camera lens. Each of these images is a memory for me that takes me back to that moment. I can smell it, feel it on my skin and hear the world around that moment.

I took a semester of black and white photography using a Pentax K1000 camera in art school. I loved breathing in those darkroom chemicals and the little buzz I got after hours of watching images develop as I burned and dodged my way to an image. Professionally, I have a long history of art directing commercial photographers, but I do love being the one behind the camera making those choices. Today we all have cameras on our phones but taking a good picture still requires a good eye.
